Erik Johanson Bio
Erik Johanson received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in May of 2013. While at Stetson, Erik was an Associate Justice of the Stetson Moot Court Board and a founding Editor of the Stetson Journal of Advocacy and the Law. While attending Stetson, Erik competed in and was awarded various distinctions in numerous national moot court competitions, including the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition and the National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition. In his third year of law school, Erik’s seminar paper on intercorporate fraudulent transfers was published in the Norton Journal of Bankruptcy Law & Practice.
After law school, Erik worked in private practice at Jennis & Bowen, P.L., served as a judicial law clerk to United States District Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, and returned to private practice at the Jennis Law Firm. Erik serves on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and is a Vice Chair of the Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee. Erik has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in civil litigation and business bankruptcy since 2019.
