Erik Johanson

Erik Johanson received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in May of 2013. While at Stetson, Erik was an Associate Justice of the Stetson Moot Court Board and a founding Editor of the Stetson Journal of Advocacy and the Law. While attending Stetson, Erik was a Finalist in the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition and the National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition.

Before founding Erik Johanson PLLC in 2020, Erik served as a judicial law clerk to United States District Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division and worked in private practice as a litigation and restructuring attorney.

Erik serves on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association. Erik also serves as a Vice Chair of the Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee. Erik has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in civil litigation and business bankruptcy since 2019. Tina Dunsford

With more than 27 years of experience, Tina is widely recognized in the health care industry. Tina’s practice includes counseling businesses, providers and other healthcare organizations on legal issues that impact their performance. Tina’s health law practice includes representation of hospitals, physicians, multi-specialty clinics, home health, nursing home facilities and managed care organizations. Tina regularly counsels’ clients on subjects related to state and federal regulatory compliance, risk management issues, HIPAA, fraud and abuse, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, managed care contracting, EMTALA, conditions of participation, and health care business transactions. With her masters in tax law, Tina also counsels’ business clients in transactional, tax, corporate, organizational, and regulatory matters. Tina’s experience with business clients includes business structuring, mergers & acquisitions, financing of business entities, venture capital transactions, business owner disputes and compliance and risk management issues. Tina also provides legal representation for tax exempt organizations, business succession planning, estate planning and asset preservation for physicians and high-net-worth individuals.

Tina regularly presents on topics such as compliance, clinical transformation, operational integration, regulatory issues and guidelines, revenue cycles and other related subjects that are redefining healthcare and how it is managed. Staying relevant in a transforming industry is key to sustainability and the value that Tina offers.

J.R. Boyd

J.R. Boyd received his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in May of 2022. During law school, J.R. served as the Executive Editor of the Stetson Law Review and as a teaching assistant for research and writing. J.R. was also a member of Stetson’s Dispute Resolution Board and represented the board with his teammates in the ABA Client Counseling and Arbitration Competitions, reaching the national semi-finals and regional semi-final rounds, respectively. As part of Stetson’s Business Concentration, J.R. focused his studies on business-oriented classes and did pro bono work volunteering as volunteer income tax assistant for the VITA program. His favorite classes were Bankruptcy and Chapter 11 Reorganization. At graduation, J.R. was recognized as the recipient of the Michael P. Allen Award and inducted into the Order of Barristers for excellence in oral advocacy and brief writing.
